Magic IS all around us.
Take a look around you right now.
Is it the usual “mundane” surroundings you always see?
Take a look again, but look deeper this time…let your eyes shift…relax.
Feel the energy that is in every molecule in the air that we breathe, the vibrations running through our bodies, even in the solid “inanimate” objects around us. The shapes, textures, smells, sounds, even the taste of all that is.

The comfort of our soft sheets when we wake up in the morning, the smell of fresh cut grass, or even the smell of a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Maybe your child smiled at you in that familiar way. Maybe just the fact that you are ALIVE today brings you gratitude. Are you looking forward to meeting someone today? Are you taking care of bills and household stuff? Did you notice the pretty flowers outside your window? Did you survive a long day of work? Are you planning something exciting? Maybe you are looking forward to sharing dinner with your family. Did you enjoy a decadent treat? Are you just feeling good for no particular reason?
There are infinite possibilities as to what can bring us joy in our day, and we all have our unique preferences and styles.
Even on days when we are just feeling blah, negative, overwhelmed, victimized, etc… we can still find that one bit of magic that we can hold on to. So maybe your kids tore up the house and aren’t listening to a word you say to them, you’ve got a ton of bills you don’t know how you are going to pay, you have no clue what to make for dinner and don’t even feel like making dinner, and to top it all off, you and your partner are not getting along. How can we possibly find magic in times like this?
Well it is in times when we are feeling stuck in the pits of darkness that it is so important for us to find a piece of hope, a teeny tiny ray of light. So what could possibly be magical in a day like I mentioned above? Well, how about that we get to wake up to a new day tomorrow and have a bit of a fresh start? Maybe you were able to vent to a friend and feel a little bit of gratitude about it. Maybe the dog sat by your side while you cried on the kitchen floor. There is ALWAYS something, no matter how small, that we can find it in our hearts to feel grateful for.
And you know what? It is contagious. Once we find a bit of hope and hold on to it, our subconscious collects other pieces of light to add to it. Maybe because you feel a bit better after venting to your friend (or to the dog), you are able to find enough energy to go look through your pantry and figure out what to make for dinner. Maybe you are able to sense more clearly that you need basic nourishment and love, and grab yourself a tall glass of water and go and take a cleansing shower.
You DESERVE to feel LOVE…and love is pure MAGIC.

Turn off the media! Pretend the power is OUT. Everywhere. Just one day. No TV, no internet, nada. Just you and your space.

Create visual reminders that say things like “Breathe” or “Smile!” or “Let go” etc.

Design your own specialty smoothie!

Listen to good-feeling music!

Freshen your space by burning essential oils or spritzing some essential oil “water” around the room…
